Ingredients
  

For the Filling:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ onion sliced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • Lettuce and tomato optional, for serving

Instructions
 

Caramelize Onions:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until caramelized, about 5 minutes.

Cook Beef:

  • Add ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Assemble Quesadilla:

  • Place a tortilla in a separate skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle half with cheese, cooked beef, caramelized onions, and crumbled bacon. Fold tortilla over.

Cook Quesadillas:

  • Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining tortillas.

Serve:

  • Slice into wedges and serve warm. Add lettuce and tomato if desired.
