  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz triple sec
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 6-8 fresh blackberries
  • Ice
  • Sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Lemon slice for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh blackberries until they are well mashed.
  • Add vodka, lemon juice, triple sec, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass, ensuring no blackberry pulp remains.
  • If desired, rim the glass with sugar before pouring the drink.
  • Garnish with a lemon slice or a few whole blackberries.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup depending on your preference.
  • Use fresh, ripe blackberries for the best flavor.
  • To make the drink even more refreshing, serve it over crushed ice.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka and add a splash of club soda.
  • If you prefer a stronger lemon flavor, add more lemon juice.
  • For a unique touch, use flavored vodka, such as citrus or berry-infused vodka.
