BERRY REFRESHER

Sana Umer
I created this Berry Refresher on those scorching Pakistani summers when I needed something instantly cooling and naturally sweet. Mixed berries, fresh lemon juice, and a whisper of mint come together in minutes to create a drink that's as beautiful as it is refreshing—no cooking required, just pure fruity goodness.

  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1 cup cold water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the mixed berries, cold water (or coconut water), honey (if using), and lemon juice.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glasses filled with ice cubes.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and extra berries if desired.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make Ahead: The berry refresher can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 1 day. Add ice just before serving.
  • Customizing the Flavor: Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/agave syrup. You can swap the berries for your favorites or use a berry juice blend for a more intense flavor.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve the berry refresher chilled over ice in glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for added freshness, or add extra berry slices for a decorative touch.
  • Storage Tips: Store leftover berry refresher in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day. Stir before serving, as the berries may settle.
