Ingredients

  • 8 oz rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons oil vegetable or sesame
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 small red onion sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated

For the Sticky Sauce:

  • cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch for thickening
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

Cook Noodles:

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Beef:

  • Toss beef slices with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Sear beef until browned, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

Stir Fry the Veggies:

  • In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Stir fry broccoli, bell peppers, and onion for 4–5 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 more minute.

Make the Sauce:

  • In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients. Pour into the skillet with the veggies. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 2–3 minutes.

Combine Everything:

  • Return the beef to the skillet, add the cooked noodles, and toss to coat everything in the sauce. Heat through.

Serve:

  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
