These 4th of July Jalapeño Poppers are spicy, cheesy bites perfect for patriotic parties. Stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar, then baked to golden perfection, they make a crowd-pleasing appetizer for summer celebrations.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 fresh jalapeños halved and seeded
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ cup cooked bacon bits optional
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs optional for topping
  • Cooking spray or oil for baking

Instructions
 

Prepare Jalapeños:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Halve jalapeños and remove seeds and membranes.

Make Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and bacon bits (if using).

Stuff Jalapeños:

  • Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture. If desired, sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top for crunch.

Bake:

  • Place poppers on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes until jalapeños are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve:

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm.
